Blog ArchivesLondon Skyline And Canary Wharf By Night
I took another trip to London yesterday to follow on from where we left off with the Millennium bridge series a couple of weeks ago. This time I concentrated on Canary Wharf as I have wanted to capture this area of London by night for a while now. It was VERY cold however I was on the shoot for about 5 hours. I have never been to Canary Wharf before and so it was literally the case of wondering around and stumbling across scenes.
A Few Birds, A Bridge And A Boat
I took the day off work today and went over to Windsor. The normal, obvious set of photos would have been the castle etc but I didn’t bother with that. Instead I stayed by the river and captured some shots of the hundreds of gulls and swans that inhabit Windsor and enjoy the generosity of the thousands of tourists that feed them each and every day.
2012 Serenity
Thought I would start off the year with some calming images in case you have a hangover and just want to relax! ;)
10 Stop Filter Explained
Today I received a 10 stop ND filter after reading about what can be achieved using it and searching online for a good deal. As far as I can tell there ar 2 main players in the 10 stop filter market, the Lee ‘Big Stopper’ and the Hitech filter (which I purchased). It’s gonna be fun trying this bad boy out!
Lake Sunrise Landscape
I was out and about very early this morning to try and capture some Winter sunrise shots. I noticed the mist coming off of this local lake from the road and thought it too much of an opportunity to miss……however cold it was! ;)
Autumn Riverscape
Autumn colours and a river scene are a great way to capture the season in all of it’s glory…
Lakeside HDR
Took a stroll round a local lake this weekend to see if there were any interesting scenes to capture in HDR…..the first day was fairly average weather wise but the second day there was a heavy fog covering the local area…..
Winter – It’s Coming
Winter is on it’s way, coping with the nightmare of trying to drive to work, reverting to a 5 year old and throwing snowballs at anything that moves, and, of course, getting out there in the cold for some photos!! ;))
