London Skyline And Canary Wharf By Night

I took another trip to London yesterday to follow on from where we left off with the Millennium bridge series a couple of weeks ago. This time I concentrated on Canary Wharf as I have wanted to capture this area of London by night for a while now. It was VERY cold however I was on the shoot for about 5 hours. I have never been to Canary Wharf before and so it was literally the case of wondering around and stumbling across scenes.

Millennium Bridge, London Town

Took a trip to London last night for some shots of the Millennium Bridge and its surroundings. I was hoping for clear, crisp skies as like we have had for the past few nights but this wasn’t to be, luckily the broken clouds did add some colour and depth to the images.

How To Photograph Fireworks

Photographing fireworks is not an easy thing to master. Catherine wheels and other stationary fireworks can be captured using a tripod as they remain still and you know where they are, rockets and other fireworks which shoot into the sky are difficult because of the movement and the fact that you never know exactly where they will travel to. Below is a guide on the best practices to capture fireworks in all of their glory.

Live….A Silhouette Portrait

As I missed a photo of the sky tonight, even though I was tipped off, I thought I would post a past sunset shot from a couple of weeks ago. It’s by a clay pit which is now a nature reserve near to where I live. The sunsets are amazing and the sky turns a brilliant golden colour…….like tonight………next time eh!?
