Blog ArchivesLondon Skyline And Canary Wharf By Night
I took another trip to London yesterday to follow on from where we left off with the Millennium bridge series a couple of weeks ago. This time I concentrated on Canary Wharf as I have wanted to capture this area of London by night for a while now. It was VERY cold however I was on the shoot for about 5 hours. I have never been to Canary Wharf before and so it was literally the case of wondering around and stumbling across scenes.
Running Water + Long Exposure
One of the great things about the darker winter months is that even during the day, you can achieve long exposure photographs without the need for filters. The below shots were taken using either a Canon 60mm Macro & Tamron 70-300mm lens. The are all bracketed shots ranging from1.5 to 3 second exposure.
Wonderful Examples Of Long Exposure Photography
Using slow shutter speeds is one of best known techniques for creating misty effects with water, light streaks and capturing detailed low light photos. Below are a number of superb examples of this technique….
Mucking About With Fisheye
I was mucking about with a Fisheye lens today, err, that’s about it! ;)
Millennium Bridge, London Town
Took a trip to London last night for some shots of the Millennium Bridge and its surroundings. I was hoping for clear, crisp skies as like we have had for the past few nights but this wasn’t to be, luckily the broken clouds did add some colour and depth to the images.
Cold, Early And Frosty Morning Shoot
Early morning today to get out and about for the sunrise. Although it was VERY cold it was also worth it to capture the heavy frost that had formed over night.
Merry Christmas (and thanks) From FPR
It’s been a great year for me and FPR, the site has grown, evolved and continues to take over my life. I would like to personally thank each and every visitor of FPR and to wish you all a great Christmas and all the best for 2012. I will be creating a suggestions page for 2012 so that you can suggest content for the site next year (link to follow)……………Cheers! ;)
Minimalist Photography
Minimalist photography is a genre that I have only recently dabbled in. The simplicity of the photo can be deceiving as it is not necessarily what is in the frame, but more what you ‘see’ in the image…..
