Amsterdam, with it’s 17th century network of concentric canals, embraces the heart of the city. These canals are a result of deliberate city planning. Amsterdam has a rich architectural history. The oldest building in Amsterdam is the Oude Kerk, at the heart of the Wallen, consecrated in 1306.
Decided to go to Windsor tonight. Missed the opportunity to get a great shot of a fox on the ‘Long Walk’ but apart from that was happy with these 4 shots from down by the river Thames….
One thing I am experimenting with at the moment is panoramas. Getting the angle, tones and colours right is twice as hard when there are multiple images to stitch together, especially in HDR!!
Now that the snow has melted it was time to get a shot that did not contain the white stuff. The first evening available was a cold and misty one but this gave a nice effect together with the street lights….
I work in Marlow and often visit in the evenings to try out new techniques or just simply to try and get some new interesting shots. The bridge and church have been photographed thousands of times but I have never seen one taken from this angle….
