Amsterdam, with it’s 17th century network of concentric canals, embraces the heart of the city. These canals are a result of deliberate city planning. Amsterdam has a rich architectural history. The oldest building in Amsterdam is the Oude Kerk, at the heart of the Wallen, consecrated in 1306.
Glass building in London, just by Tower Bridge. Would love to work here!!
Great church in Wing, over 500 years old and feels it! I am a bit perplexed by the blueish lights in the rafters though!?
Japan is one place that I would love to visit purely to take photo’s and to try and capture the sheer beauty of the country. With such diversity and contrasting landscapes I don’t think you could ever get bored!
There is one subject that is in abundance all around us (unless you live on a desert island), architecture. Look around you, offices, bridges, houses, museums, the list is endless. Next time you are wondering what you can capture next, go out and have a go at architecture…..
Architecture, from buildings deliberately designed to look modern with sleek edges and curves everywhere or back street blocks of shops and apartments that have a completely separate appeal all of their own. I have been trying to get a decent shot of this church for a while now. This shot is not what I want as an end result but I like the scene when converted to black and white…….In complete contrast the scond shot was taken in my garden. This fly was not afraid of me in the slightest and just sat there no matter how close I got or how much I accidentally nudged the leaf it was sitting on!
