Winter – It’s Coming
Winter is on it’s way, coping with the nightmare of trying to drive to work, reverting to a 5 year old and throwing snowballs at anything that moves, and, of course, getting out there in the cold for some photos!! ;))
Great Examples Of Stream and River Photography
If you live near a stream, river or brook and you love photography then you will probably already know what a wonderful photographic subject it is. Excellent for practicing slow shutter speed photography to create a misty effect from the moving water these locations are a must for anyone wanting to capture nature in all of it’s glory.
Self Portrait/HDR Testing
I thought I would test out some self portrait shots combined with subtle hdr. As the sun was out and shining I decided to use it for a back light (more on that in an article in a couple of days). I tried to keep the HDR effect quite subtle and simply apply it to enhance the eyes and also the general tones/colours of the photographs.
CIPX – David Vs Goliath
Last nights game was a epic battle, at nil/nil when the half time whistle blew it was anyone’s game……a few photos hastily post processed………;)
How To Photograph Fireworks
Photographing fireworks is not an easy thing to master. Catherine wheels and other stationary fireworks can be captured using a tripod as they remain still and you know where they are, rockets and other fireworks which shoot into the sky are difficult because of the movement and the fact that you never know exactly where they will travel to. Below is a guide on the best practices to capture fireworks in all of their glory.
SkateboardAnimation – A Video Made From Hundreds Of Digital Photographs
SkateboardAnimation is a video made entirely from hundreds (if not thousands) of digital photographs taken from various skateboard magazines and very cleverly animated by Tilman Singer. This is the kind of originality and talent that I love stumbling upon while browsing Vimeo!
Autumn Dew And A Bit Of Colour
Great thing about this time of year is the golden sunsets and autumn colours combining to offer great photographs. Rather than the usual landscape shots, why not get out for a bit of macro photography using something that you see (and probably walk on) every day. Look closely at dew covered grass (which lasts most of the day this time of year) and it seems like a different world!
Bubble Portrait
We had some bubble guns left over from our wedding, I got bored, this is the result……
