The site is very clean and easy to navigate as well as being nicely intuative.
“The Metropolitan Police Service’s approach towards photography in public places is a subject of regular debate.
We encourage officers and the public to be vigilant against terrorism but recognise the balance between effective policing and protecting Londoners and respecting the rights of the media and the general public to take photographs.
Guidance around the issue has been made clear to officers and PCSOs through briefings and internal communications. The following advice is available to all officers and provides a summary of the Metropolitan Police Service’s guidance around photography in public places.”
There are so many Photoshop and GIMP tutorials on the net for photographers that its hard to keep track of the ones that you have added to your ‘Favourites’. I have put together a collection of these sites which in many cases have collections of their own, hopefully this will help you to keep all of these sites together!!
I was lucky enough recently to be asked to provide a photo and a few words on the much discussed subject of HDR for LenShare.Com. My thanks to Jeff who runs LenShare for including my work and I strongly recommend a visit as it is a great site and resource of all things photography!
Hellingly Asylum opened in 1903 on the South West coast of Britain. Designed by G.T Hine. An onsite railway station and tramway provided Hellingly supplies. Hellingly was closed down in 1994.
Although these photos are obviously not to everyone’s taste, they do capture the imagination and go some way to show the rooms and corridors once home to many mentally ill and insane people. The shadows and light also captured in the images is also very atmospheric!
I recently joined my friend (who is a DJ), at one of his gigs at a well known British Bar. He asked if I could take some photos of him, his DJ partner and the venue. He also asked if I could not use a flash as this may put them off of their mixing etc.
