I keep going back to this spot for the great colours that form at sunrise, sunset and the reflections that are created on the water. Coupled with the backdrop of Marlow and it’s church spire and bridge and it’s too much of a photo opportunity to only take a couple!……………….

I have been to this location before and wasn’t happy with the results. This time I caught a much more balanced sunset and was there earlier to give myself more time for the shoot (I also got electricuted by the farmers fence!!)

Chris Bradley’s work caught my eye for it’s originality, humour and emotion. From great imaginative portrait shots to beautifully lit, on location photos in club dressing rooms, each photo tells a story and makes you think about the situation and subject. I asked Chris a few questions about his work……

Amsterdam, with it’s 17th century network of concentric canals, embraces the heart of the city. These canals are a result of deliberate city planning. Amsterdam has a rich architectural history. The oldest building in Amsterdam is the Oude Kerk, at the heart of the Wallen, consecrated in 1306.

Low key photography attempts to create a chiaroscuro effect. Low-key lighting requires only one key light, optionally controlled with a fill light or a simple reflector. Low key light accentuates the contours of an object by throwing areas into shade while a fill light or reflector may illuminate the shadow areas to control contrast.
