With so many Wordpress themes to choose from, it is often difficult to decide on an appropriate look for your site, as well as getting the functionality that you require to customise it to your taste.
In a recent article on Mashable, it was announced that Twitter are to start allowing users to upload interactive images. This is made possible through the use of a service provided by ThingLink, which allows the addition of any link as a tag on an image. It also allows for interactive links, such as Facebook Likes for your Website/Company page etc.
I recently part funded a project on Kickstarter called 'Broken Things', a photography book by Sam Seager. I don't normally give my money away (due to the current economic climate), however, when I read Sam's description of his project, a photography book documenting Japan, and the huge earthquake, and subsequent Tsunami.
I LOVE Star wars, I must have seen each of the 3 original (and only true) SW films about 30 times each. I have always been fascinated at how the special effects were achieved in the 70's when, there are films being made today with less realistic scenes! I have been watching a lot of TED videos recently, mostly for inspiration and marketing purposes. During my time on the site I have discovered a number of very enlightening talks from some very inspirational people. Ranging from documentary photographers to research into cameras that can capture light moving at 1 trillion (yes, 1 trillion) frames per second.
I recently watched the below video on TED. It's not specific to photography, however, it did make me think about utilising the general idea to inspire creativity and to try new things. The basic premise is that everyone should try something new, or give something up, for 30 days. The presenter goes on to describe how this enhances his life and certain aspects of what he is interested in.
Went out tonight as the moon was full and the sky was clear. Ended up in the middle of a field in the dark. A bit concerned for my safety I took the below shots before retreating to the car! ;)
