London Skyline And Canary Wharf By Night

I took another trip to London yesterday to follow on from where we left off with the Millennium bridge series a couple of weeks ago. This time I concentrated on Canary Wharf as I have wanted to capture this area of London by night for a while now. It was VERY cold however I was on the shoot for about 5 hours. I have never been to Canary Wharf before and so it was literally the case of wondering around and stumbling across scenes.

Photoshoot From Start To Finish (My Way)

There are literally thousands on photography tutorials on the internet (including mine) that explain the different elements that ultimately make up a photoshoot (resulting in your photos). I have read ALOT of them and most are very useful however, I probably only use about 25% of the stuff that I have learned from tutorials in practical every day shoots.

Running Water + Long Exposure

One of the great things about the darker winter months is that even during the day, you can achieve long exposure photographs without the need for filters. The below shots were taken using either a Canon 60mm Macro & Tamron 70-300mm lens. The are all bracketed shots ranging from1.5 to 3 second exposure.

Wonderful Examples Of Long Exposure Photography

Using slow shutter speeds is one of best known techniques for creating misty effects with water, light streaks and capturing detailed low light photos. Below are a number of superb examples of this technique….

Millennium Bridge, London Town

4

Took a trip to London last night for some shots of the Millennium Bridge and its surroundings. I was hoping for clear, crisp skies as like we have had for the past few nights but this wasn’t to be, luckily the broken clouds did add some colour and depth to the images.

iPhone Photography Apps – Photo Wizard

0

As you may know if you read the first iPhone Photography App review last week the Photo Wizard app wasn’t on my original list of those to review as I did not know about it. I bought this app from the App Store for 69p and I have not been disappointed.

Cold, Early And Frosty Morning Shoot

Early morning today to get out and about for the sunrise. Although it was VERY cold it was also worth it to capture the heavy frost that had formed over night.

Apologies For FPR Downtime

0

FPR has been down for just over 24 hours (if my hosting provider had a clue what they were doing or were willing to actually assist paying customers then this would not have been the case!), anyway, fingers crossed all is good again and normal service resumed…………….SORRY PEOPLE :0/
